This meeting was declared Heat Affected in accordance with the GRV Heat Policy.  At the end of kennelling the outside temperature was recorded as 19.3 degrees.

Superior Hunter was slow to begin.

Buck Tooth Bling and Shirdale Tom collided soon after the start. Superior Primo checked off Curt Lee soon after the start.  Curt Lee, Smoke Signals and Dyna Jules collided soon after the start checking Smoke Signals.  Superior Hunter crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Dyna Jules, Super Fay and Shirdale Tom collided at the 250m mark checking Super Fay and Shirdale Tom.  Shirdale Tom crossed in at the 200m mark checking Smoke Signals.  Superior Hunter and Buck Tooth Bling collided at the 150m mark.  Dyna Jules and Shirdale Tom collided at the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Kleeven, the trainer of Bolta Neveelk regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bolta Neveelk last raced on 29th July 2018. Mr Kleeven stated that the greyhound was returning from a left hind toe amputation.

A pre race sample was taken from Bolta Neveelk.

Supraspinatus was slow to begin.

Urban Ruler and Just Jimmy collided at the 300m mark.  Supraspinatus crossed in at the 300m mark.  Riccarton and Urban Ruler collided at the 200m mark checking both greyhounds.  Riccarton and Bolta Neveelk collided at the 150m mark.

Lanis Morris was slow to begin.

Challis Annie and Swift Mandy collided soon after the start.  Pink Tiara and Swift Mandy collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark.

Spot My Key checked off Early Storm soon after the start.  Spot My Key and Courage Crest collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark.  Sazana faltered at the 200m mark and lost ground.  Starface, Early Storm and Renegade collided at the 150m mark.  Early Storm and Renegade collided at the 50m mark checking Renegade.  

Sazana was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Gordette and Kiwi Collision were slow to begin.

All Inn Misshap and Aston Lelani collided soon after the start.  Stars And Lights, Zipping Amber and Mia Tesoro collided soon after the start.  All Inn Misshap crossed to the outside at the 250m mark.  Kiwi Collision and Mia Tesoro collided at the 200m mark.  Gordette stumbled at the 200m mark and lost ground.  Lady Emerald crossed to the outside at the 150m mark and collided with Stars And Lights.  Lady Emerald and Stars And Lights collided at the 100m mark.

Gordette was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left front toe injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Mia Tesoro was vetted following the event at the request of the trainer Mrs K. Gorman. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Lady Emerald was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind thigh injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr D. Davis, the trainer of Lady Emerald regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 100m mark.

A pre race sample was taken from Outta My Depth.

Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 24.6 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 19.5 degrees.

Jacobite Joseph was slow to begin.

Superior Bont and Samba King collided soon after the start.  Outta My Depth and Superior Bont collided at the 300m mark.   Cee Me Entertain checked off Ryder Sir at the 150m mark.  Cee Me Entertain and Almapa Gallucci collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr G Minne, the trainer of Serious Bolt regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Serious Bolt last raced on 11th September 2018. Mr Minne stated that the greyhound was returning from a right hock injury.  Mr G. Minne also declared a new weight of 35.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Serious Bolt last raced at 34.7kg.

Mr D. Condon, the representative of Jimmy's Angel declared a new weight of 28.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jimmy's Angel last raced at 27.5kg.

Leica Cali King was slow to begin.

She's My Blast, Avatar Minty and Jimmy's Angel collided at the 250m mark. Early Express checked off Serious Bolt at the 200m mark.

Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 25.6 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 19.5 degrees.

Eye Got It was quick to begin.  

Jet Blaster and Vitaliser collided at the 200m mark.

Wazza Hawk, Fabelite and Star Hennessy were slow to begin.

Mirror Max and Fabelite collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark checking both greyhounds.  Spazzy Blue and Star Hennessy collided at the 200m mark checking Spazzy Blue.  Mirror Max checked off Fabelite at the 150m mark.

Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 27.6 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 19.8 degrees.

Searching and Superior Scotch were slow to begin.

Twenty Tamar, Searching, Charlie Rocket and Runnin' Rampage collided at the 250m mark checking Searching and Charlie Rocket.  Twenty Tamar checked off Runnin' Rampage at the 150m mark.

Charlie Rocket was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abdominal muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 28.9 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 19.8 degrees.

Scooby Boy and Cataleya were slow to begin.

Unexplainable and Scooby Boy collided soon after the start.  Seeka Moment checked off Cullquin Bomber at the 250m mark.  Scooby Boy and Hit 'N' Split collided at the 150m mark.  Seeka Moment and Hit 'N' Split collided several times at the 50m mark and the winning post.  Scooby Boy, Unexplainable and Cataleya collided approaching the winning post.  

Stewards spoke to the starter, Mr M. Grima after the incorrect number (10) was displayed on the front of the starting boxes. Mr Grima was reminded of his responsibilities and asked to ensure all numbers are correctly displayed in future. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.

Merl's Michu and Superior Sam were slow to begin.

My Fernando Tim, Red Queen and Rube's Ablaze collided soon after the start checking Red Queen and Rube's Ablaze.  Merl's Michu checked off Superior Sam at the 250m mark.  Merl's Michu crossed to the outside at the 200m mark.

Meeting Comments:

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Borradale who had brought a greyhound to the track with the intention of trialling. No trials are done after day meetings that are deemed hot weather affected. Mr.Borradale subsequently left the greyhound unattended in his trailer. Stewards charged Mr.Borradale with failing to comply with a policy adopted by the Controlling Body (Hot weather policy) in accordance with GAR86(ag). Mr.Borradale pleaded not guilty to the charge. Mr.Borradale was found guilty and fined the sum of $250.
