Steward's Report
My Bro Black and Chase 'Em Spolly were quick to begin. What A Chancer checked off My Bro Black soon after the start. Double The Power faltered on the first turn and subsequently pulled up. Aston Ronaldo and Aston Samson collided on the first turn checking Aston Ronaldo. Ayia Sophia clipped the heels of Super Fay entering the home straight. My Bro Black and Chase 'Em Spolly collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
Double The Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer Mr. L. Harris declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Harris, the trainer of the greyhound Double The Power regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Double The Power with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Harris pleaded guilty to the charge. Double The Power was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
