Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Ellis, the trainer of Vanderville regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Vanderville last raced on 10 September, 2018. Mr Ellis stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a spell.
A pre race sample was taken from Vanderville.
Swift Spur and Why Not Archie collided soon after the start, checking Swift Spur, causing Swift Spur and Calabrese Bullet to collide. Swift Spur checked off Proven Chat on the first turn, checking Swift Spur to stumble and lose ground. Vanderville and Dubai Prince collided approaching the winning post.
Swift Spur was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
