Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Glayva and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.21pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr M. Bewley was fined the sum of $100.
Coconut Gloria and Zharnel collided approaching the first turn. Fairytale Ending checked off All Inn Roselee approaching the first turn checking Fairytale Ending and Ace Victorem. Shine The Weapon faltered entering the home straight and tailed off.
Shine The Weapon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken right hock and was humanely euthanased.
