Steward's Report
Prior to the running of event 6, Stewards inspected a section of the track between the 250m mark and the 150m mark. The tractor tyres had done extensive damage to the track due to constant rain all day. Stewards consulted with track manager Mr.M.Grima and were satisfied that there were no prospects of repairing the track today.
Stewards in conjunction with the Acting Club Manager, two senior trainers, track curator and the On-course Veterinarian were unanimous in their decision that the track was unsafe for racing. Subsequently races 6 - 12 inclusive were officially abandoned at 1.20pm.
