Terrigal Tornando and Miss Heart collided soon after the start.  Riley Allen and Velocity Alaina collided soon after the start.  Dewana Be Sure and Up North Dougie collided soon after the start.  Terrigal Tornando and Miss Heart collided approaching the first turn checking Terrigal Tornando.  Riley Allen checked off Up North Dougie approaching the first turn and collided with Velocity Alaina.  Velocity Alaina checked off Riley Allen on the first turn and collided with Dewana Be Sure.  Terrigal Tornando and Miss Heart collided in the back straight checking Miss Heart.  Dewana Be Sure checked off Riley Allen on the home turn. 

Dundee Jitterbug was quick to begin.  Sailor Allen went up with the lids and was slow to begin.  But What For and Izza Lektra were slow to begin.  

But What For and Sailor Allen collided soon after the start.  Izza Lektra checked off Dewana Jayden soon after the start.  Sailor Allen and Cee Me Shine collided approaching the first turn.  Izza Lektra checked off Cee Me Shine on the first turn and raced wide checking But What For which raced wide as a result.  Appointed checked off Dundee Jitterbug entering the back straight.  Appointed and Sailor Allen collided in the back straight checking Sailor Allen.  But What For and Izza Lektra collided approaching the third turn checking Izza Lektra.  Appointed checked off Dundee Jitterbug in the home straight.

Air Commander and Ursula Allen were quick to begin.  Kintamani and Almani Jet were slow to begin.

Aston Ranza and Almani Jet collided soon after the start.  Aston Ranza checked off Almani Jet on the first turn.  Air Commander and Almani Jet collided on the first turn and again on the second turn checking Almani Jet and Dewana Hand.  Almani Jet checked off Kintamani on the second turn checking Almani Jet and Dewana Hand resulting in Dewana Hand racing wide.  Aston Ranza checked off Air Commander entering the back straight.  Almani Jet checked off Aston Ranza on the third turn and raced wide checking Dewana Hand which was forced wide.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Mega Hazel engaged in this event on 19 October 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Unrushed was a late scratching at 8:53am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mega Hazel and Shanlyn Georgie collided soon after the start.  Mega Hazel, Shanlyn Georgie, Omega Vera and Fairy Vixen collided soon after the start.  Fairy Vixen checked off Omega Vera on the first turn.  Doused In Mud and Mega Hazel collided on the first turn.  Doused In Mud checked off Mega Hazel approaching the second turn.  Shanlyn Georgie raced wide entering the back straight.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Zipping Floyd and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 12:44pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr A. Blake was fined the sum of $100.

Go Seek Heidi and Barooga Brett were quick to begin.  

Tobacco Leaf, Mumma's Meatloaf, Pagan Dancer and Ayo Joy collided on the first turn checking Mumma's Meatloaf, Pagan Dancer and Ayo Joy.  Hayley's Style contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground.  Mumma's Meatloaf checked off Ayo Joy in the back straight.

Hayley's Style was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn nail to the right hind foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Lonnie Knight was slow to begin.

Why Not Grace, Samsonite, Grande Fratello and Mr. Pendles collided soon after the start checking Grande Fratello.  Dewana Express and Primed Engine collided soon after the start.  Why Not Grace checked off Samsonite approaching the first turn.  Samsonite, Grande Fratello and Dewana Express collided on the first turn checking Grande Fratello.  Samsonite, Dewana Express and Aston Sultan collided approaching the second turn.  Why Not Grace checked off Lonnie Knight on the second turn.  Lonnie Knight checked off Dewana Express in the back straight and collided with Aston Sultan.  Why Not Grace checked off Grande Fratello approaching the home turn checking Mr. Pendles.  Grande Fratello and Aston Sultan collided approaching the home turn.

Peppertide and Stevie Dee collided approaching the first turn checking Stevie Dee.  Peppertide checked off Hot Finish on the first turn, Hot Finish lost ground and raced wide.  Go Slow Goldy and Faraday collided approaching the third turn checking Go Slow Goldy.

Peppertide was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right quadriceps injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Wild Hunny, You Rippa Pippa and Zippy Lynet collided approaching the first turn checking Wild Hunny and Tantalise.  You Rippa Pippa checked off Zippy Lynet on the first turn checking You Rippa Pippa which raced wide.  Midnight Marzy, Tantalise and You Rippa Pippa collided on the second turn checking Tantalise.  Foxy Whip, Zippy Lynet and Wild Hunny collided on the third turn checking Zippy Lynet.  You Rippa Pippa raced wide on the home turn.

Cee Me Entertain was slow to begin.

Don't Trust and Give Away King collided soon after the start.  Handsome Jake Don't Trust and Give Away King collided approaching the first turn checking Don't Trust and severely checking Handsome Jake which became unbalanced and lost considerable ground as a result.  Cee Me Entertain and Spazzy Blue collided on the first turn.  Dyna Penny and Cee Me Entertain collided on the first turn.  

Handsome Jake was vetted and re-vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and a left thigh soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Shanlyn Magic trialled over the 515mtrs from box 5, weight 31.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 29.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 1/4 lengths.  Shanlyn Magic was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs B. Marshall, the trainer of Jessie Fernando regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Jessie Fernando last raced on 21 May 2018 and is returning from a seasonal spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Jesse Fernando trialled over the 515mtrs from box 1, weight 26.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 29.92, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths.  Jesse Fernando was Cleared.
