A pre race sample was taken from Elle"s Toy.
Pursuant to GAR 104 Parade Steward Callum Blake did not act in any offical capacity for this event.
Fairground and Elle's Toy collided soon after the start checking Elle's Toy. Fairground and Billy Swagger collided approaching the first turn. Flying Rose and Punt Road Girl collided approaching the first turn. Fairground and Billy Swagger collided on the first turn. Punt Road Girl, Flying Rose and Five Times Table collided approaching the home turn checking Punt Road Girl. Destini Peso and Elle's Toy collided on the home turn checking Destini Peso which lost ground as a result. Elle's Toy clipped the heals of Billy Swagger entering the home straight. Punt Road Girl marred Short Leash in the home straight checking Five Times Table and severely checking Short Leash.
Destini Peso was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a groin injury, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Punt Road Girl was vetting following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grade 2 tear to right groin, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Radstock, the trainer of the greyhound Punt Road Girl regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Punt Road Girl with marring. Mr Paul Radstock pleaded guilty to the charge, Punt Road Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
