Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Boots, the representative of Shooter's Ajax regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Shooter's Ajax last raced on 21 June, 2018. Mr Boots stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a left hind toe injury. Mr D. Boots declared a new weight of 33.2kg for Shooter's Ajax in accordance with GAR 39(2). Shooter's Ajax last raced at 31.4kg.
Kraken Spike, Shooter's Ajax and Oriental Tiger collided soon after the start checking Kraken Spike and Shooter's Ajax. Swahili Icon, All Inn Handles and Ultimate Sugar collided on the first turn checking Swahili Icon and All Inn Handles. Shooter's Ajax galloped on the heels of Oriental Tiger on the home turn. Kraken Spike clipped the heels of Blackwater Girl in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr A. Blake, the trainer of Oriental Tiger regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.
