Rocky's Kayo and Dreamliner were slow to begin.  Iona Roby, Goodbye Goldie, Rocky's Kayo, Lexi Cristalle, Smoke And Embers, Dreamliner and Quick Gift collided on the first turn checking Iona Roby, Goodbye Goldie, Dreamliner and Quick Gift and severely checking Lexi Cristalle which fell as a result.  Iona Roby and Quick Gift raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Silver Sky, Modern Jagger and St. Leo were slow to begin.  Terrah Round, House Of Luck and Mac Daddy collided on the first turn.  Terrah Round, Mac Daddy and St. Leo collided in the back straight checking St. Leo and severely checking Mac Daddy.  Aston Narita and Modern Jagger collided on the second turn.  Sharon's Gold and Modern Jagger collided in the home straight.

Modern Jagger was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Go Go Pipsqueak.

Go Go Pipsqueak was quick to begin.  Ballistic Gem was slow to begin.  Go Go Pipsqueak faltered on the second turn and lost ground colliding with Bela Natali checking Bela Natali and Ballistic Gem, Go Go Pipsqueak subsequently tailed off.  Ballistic Gem faltered on the home turn and subsequently tailed off.

Go Go Pipsqueak was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained severe multiple fractures of the left hock and was humanely euthanased.

Ballistic Gem was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Cosa Bona upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling.

Our Centurion was slow to begin.  Cosa Bona, Sapphire Hawke, Ann Cherie, Mt. View Gift and Oz Wizard collided on the first turn checking Cosa Bona.  Cosa Bona and Mt. View Gift collided on the second turn.

Hardaway Kate and Brindle Daisy collided soon after the start.  Lingua Franca and Reggie Ryan collided soon after the start.  Kiwi Al and Spectator collided approaching the first turn.  Kiwi Al and Lingua Franca collided on the first turn.  Reggie Ryan, Hardaway Kate and Brindle Daisy collided on the first turn.  Spectator was checked off Crackerjack Man on the home turn.

Zipping Lucky was a late scratching at 2.26pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mrs. K. Fogarty was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Whitford the trainer of Roger's Boy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Roger's Boy last raced on 24/05/18.  Mr. Whitford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right wrist injury.

Roger's Boy and Hurricane Cindy were slow to begin.  Terrah Flies galloped on Prince Ferno on the first turn.  Hurricane Cindy was checked off Terrah Flies approaching the home turn.  Macalister Cindy raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Terrah Pin and Got Some Zip collided soon after the start checking Terrah Pin.  Fine For Me, Kissem and Scooter collided on the first turn checking Kissem and severely checking Scooter.

Ms. S. Reaper the trainer of Fiesty Girl declared a new weight of 25.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Fiesty Girl last raced at 26.1kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Williams the trainer of Nice Left Nath regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Nice Left Nath last raced on 11/06/18.  Mr. Williams stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an illness.  Mr. Williams declared a new weight of 32.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Nice Left Nath last raced at 34.0kg.

Daisy Me Diggin', Nice Left Nath and Hurricane Craig collided approaching the first turn checking Daisy Me Diggin'.  Strycova, Violets Are Red and Fiesty Girl collided on the first turn checking Violets Are Red.  Nice Left Nath, Dark Layali and Aeroplane Bella collided on the first turn.  Nice Left Nath and Aeroplane Bella collided on the home turn.  Daisy Me Diggin' was checked off Nice Left Nath in the home straight.

Mr. T. Salpigtidis the trainer of Spritely Star declared a new weight of 25.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Spritely Star last raced at 24.1kg.

Malick trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 33.8kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.56 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.75 lengths.  Malick was not cleared.

Franklin Allen trialled over 315 metres from box 4, weight 30.5kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.56 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8 lengths.  Franklin Allen was cleared.

Stylish Missile trialled over 315 metres from box 7, weight 28.8kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.56 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Stylish Missile was cleared.

Floyd the trainer of Zoenah's Legacy regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Zoenah's Legacy last raced on 25/02/18.  Mr. Floyd stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A  Zoenah's Legacy trialled over 315 metres from box 5, weight 28.5kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.56 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Zoenah's Legacy was cleared.
