A pre-race sample was taken from Mahna Mahna.
Zipping Diva crossed to the inside approaching the first turn, checking Venus Allen and Wolf Point. Logistic Kid, Slingshot Jayla and Luck's Run Out collided on the first turn, checking Logistic Kid. Logistic Kid, Mahna Mahna and Venus Allen collided approaching the home turn, checking Mahna Mahna. Mahna Mahna contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. Logistic Kid checked off Dyna Nancy approaching the winning post.
Mahna Mahna was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadriceps muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
