Steward's Report

Hello Cobber and Ziggy Doll collided soon after the start. Banjo's Power and Anna Victorem collided approaching the first turn. Ziggy Doll galloped on the heels of Anna Victorem on the first turn checking Anna Victorem and San Remo Lass. Ziggy Doll clipped the heels of San Remo Lass approaching the home turn. Ziggy Doll and Banjo's Power collided on the home turn. Banjo's Power eased approaching the winning post.

Banjo's Power was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 5. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Rachele, the trainer of the greyhound Banjo's Power regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Banjo's Power with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.Mr. Rachele pleaded guilty to the charge, Banjo's Power was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
