Steward's Report
Ninetymile Donny and Lacarabine were slow to begin.
Ninetymile Donny, Shot Of Spice and Magical Diamond collided on the first turn checking Shot Of Spice and Magical Diamond. Golden Jet eased approaching the home turn. Tiara Jo checked off Golden Jet on the home turn shifting wide and colliding with Lacarabine.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Weightman, the trainer of the greyhound Golden Jet regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Golden Jet was vetted and re-vetted following event 8. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left chest and left hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Golden Jet with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Weightman pleaded guilty to the charge, Golden Jet was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
