Maximum Bliss shifted in soon after the start checking Surfside Squids. Winlock Intent, Maximum Bliss and Dyna Bella collided on the first turn severely checking Winlock Intent causing Maximum Bliss to fall. Miami Fernando and Miss Camelot collided on the first turn. Gagey's Snags and Pharoah's Dream raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Dyna Bella and Miss Camelot collided on the home turn. Miami Fernando and Miss Camelot collided entering the home straight. Miss Camelot checked off Miami Fernando in the home straight. Gagey's Snags and Pharoah's Dream collided in the home straight. Gagey's Snags marred Pharoah's Dream approaching the winning post.
Maximum Bliss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Gagey's Snags was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right metatarsal, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Willoughby, the representative of the greyhound Gagey's Snags, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Gagey's Snags with marring. Mr Willoughby pleaded guilty to the charge, Gagey's Snags was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Brown the trainer regarding the direction that the greyhound Pharoah's Dream be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
