Ms. M. Shaw, representative of Trium, declared a new weight of 30.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Trium last raced at 31.5kg.
Spring Kitty was quick to begin.
Kalgoorlie Kid galloped on Pyrenees Acclaim on the first turn checking Pyrenees Acclaim and causing Kalgoorlie Kid to fall. Royal Bruno checked off Trium on the home turn and galloped on Pyrenees Acclaim checking Royal Bruno, Trium, Pyrenees Acclaim and Rock'em Elvis.
Kalgoorlie Kid was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr K. Lloyd, the representative of Super Smarty regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Super Smarty last raced on 24 November 2017 and is returning from a right foreleg fracture. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Super Smarty trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3 weight 25.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.57, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 1/4 lengths. Super Smarty was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Galina Reznikov trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1 weight 25.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.57,the greyhound won by a margin of 4 lengths. Galina Reznikov was Cleared.
