Ninetymile Donny, Shot Of Spice and Magical Diamond collided on the first turn checking Shot Of Spice and Magical Diamond.  Golden Jet eased approaching the home turn.  Tiara Jo checked off Golden Jet on the home turn shifting wide and colliding with Lacarabine.  

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Weightman, the trainer of the greyhound Golden Jet regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Golden Jet was vetted and re-vetted following event 8.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left chest and left hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Golden Jet with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Weightman pleaded guilty to the charge, Golden Jet was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ms. A. Courts, representative of Blank Page, declared a new weight of 30.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Blank Page last raced at 31.4kg.

Keisha's Boy was slow to begin.

Red King Prince checked off Mema Wibble soon after the start.  Usara Allen, Mema Wibble and Blank Page collided approaching the first turn.  Riverdale Danger, Usara Allen, Mema Wibble and My Territory collided on the first turn checking Usara Allen, Mema Wibble, My Territory and Red King Prince.  My Territory checked off Usara Allen approaching the home turn.  Mema Wibble and Blank Page collided entering the home straight.  

My Territory was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Maximum Bliss shifted in soon after the start checking Surfside Squids.  Winlock Intent, Maximum Bliss and Dyna Bella collided on the first turn severely checking Winlock Intent causing Maximum Bliss to fall.  Miami Fernando and Miss Camelot collided on the first turn.  Gagey's Snags and Pharoah's Dream raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Dyna Bella and Miss Camelot collided on the home turn.  Miami Fernando and Miss Camelot collided entering the home straight.  Miss Camelot checked off Miami Fernando in the home straight.  Gagey's Snags and Pharoah's Dream collided in the home straight.  Gagey's Snags marred Pharoah's Dream approaching the winning post.  

Maximum Bliss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Gagey's Snags was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right metatarsal, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Willoughby, the representative of the greyhound Gagey's Snags, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Gagey's Snags with marring.  Mr Willoughby pleaded guilty to the charge, Gagey's Snags was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Brown the trainer regarding the direction that the greyhound Pharoah's Dream be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

My Boy Joey was slow to begin.

Zarbo Hustler checked off Notorious King soon after the start.  Cruising Betty and Jimbo's Sox collided on the first turn checking Cruising Betty.  Jimbo's Sox and My Boy Joey collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Notorious King raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Spring Kitty was quick to begin.

Kalgoorlie Kid galloped on Pyrenees Acclaim on the first turn checking Pyrenees Acclaim and causing Kalgoorlie Kid to fall.  Royal Bruno checked off Trium on the home turn and galloped on Pyrenees Acclaim checking Royal Bruno, Trium, Pyrenees Acclaim and Rock'em Elvis.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr K. Lloyd, the representative of Super Smarty regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Super Smarty last raced on 24 November 2017 and is returning from a right foreleg fracture. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Super Smarty trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3 weight 25.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.57, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 1/4 lengths. Super Smarty was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Galina Reznikov trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1 weight 25.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.57,the greyhound won by a margin of 4 lengths. Galina Reznikov was Cleared.
