Unsullied and Crystal Shell collided approaching the first turn, checking Crystal Shell. Crystal Shell and Lady Bang Bang collided on the first turn, severely checking Lady Bang Bang. Virage De Kahn galloped on Lady Bang Bang on the first turn, severely checking both greyhounds and causing Lady Bang Bang to fall. Unsullied contacted the running rail on the first turn, checking Unsullied. Kiwi Hustler and Enable Me collided approaching the winning post.
Lady Bang Bang was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
