Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs J. McMahon, the trainer of Dr. Compulsion regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dr. Compulsion last raced on 7th May 2017 and was cleared in a satisfactory trial at Traralgon on 3rd August 2018. Mrs McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from retirement.
A pre race sample was taken from Dr.Compulsion.
Mega Hazel was quick to begin. Merchant Prince was slow to begin. Faster Bolt and Valley Reaper collided soon after the start. Faster Bolt was checked off Valley Reaper on the first turn checking Valley Reaper and Merchant Prince and severely checking Faster Bolt which fell as a result. Lucky Omar and Aquiam collided on the second turn and several times approaching the home turn.
Faster Bolt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
