Stewards spoke to Mr K. Turchett, the trainer of Mr. Fabulous regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mr. Fabulous last raced on 12 Mar 18. Mr Turchett stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left toe injury.

Mr. Fabulous, Zambora Rose and Blackpool Tipsy were quick to begin. Keep On Runnin' was slow to begin. Lacarabine checked off Mr. Fabulous approaching the first turn. Blackpool Tipsy, Ace Cruising and Zambora Rose collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Ace Cruising, which collided with Zambora Rose, checking Mr. Fabulous and It All Happens as a result. Lacarabine checked off It All Happens on the first turn. Very Canny and Ace Cruising collided approaching the home turn, checking Very Canny, which lost ground as a result. Mr. Fabulous, It All Happens and Lacarabine raced wide on the home turn. 

Very Canny was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre race sample was taken from Inga Ross. 

Wilkins Allen and Ugo Girl were quick to begin. Inga Ross, Badenov and Wok Djay were slow to begin. Badenov and Bombora Rocket collided soon after the start, checking Badenov. Badenov contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Bombora Rocket and Ugo Girl collided entering the home straight, causing Bombora Rocket, Ugo Girl and Wok Djay to race wide. Wilkins Allen checked off the heels of Cullquin Brienne in the home straight.

Badenov was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre race sample was taken from Big Tilly.

Belcanto and Riverdale Danger were quick to begin. Trew Danger and Big Tilly were slow to begin. Kimura, Cruisy's Star, Riverdale Danger, Belcanto and Major Amor collided soon after the start, checking Cruisy's Star. Kimura, Riverdale Danger and Major Amor collided on the first turn, checking Riverdale Danger and Trew Danger. Riverdale Danger checked off the heels of Major Amor approaching the home turn, and collided with Trew Danger. Cruisy's Star and Major Amor collided on the home turn, causing Cruisy's Star to race wide. Trew Danger raced wide on the home turn. Riverdale Danger and Big Tilly collided in the home straight. Kimura and Major Amor collided in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Drew, the trainer of Luca Rocket regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Luca Rocket last raced on 19 Apr 18. Mr Drew stated that the grehound was returning to racing following an extended spell.

A pre race sample was taken from Mickie Raven.

Cruisy's was quick to begin. Cawbourne Dolly, Mickie Raven and Red King Prince collided soon after the start, checking Red King Prince. Luca Rocket and Cawbourne Dolly collided on the first turn, checking Cawbourne Dolly and Mickie Raven. Ohio Fernando checked off the heels of Red King Prince on the home turn, causing Ohio Fernando to race wide. Mickie Raven raced wide on the home turn. Cawbourne Dolly checked off Luca Rocket in the home straight. 

A pre race sample was taken from Stevie Jane.

Mia Shan, Midnight El, Miss Cotton Sox and Triceps Brachii collided soon after the start, checking Midnight El and Triceps Brachii. Fascinate Queen and Spotted Opal collided approaching the first turn, checking Spotted Opal. Miss Cotton Sox, Triceps Brachii, Mia Shan and Midnight El collided entering the home straight, causing Triceps Brachii, Mia Shan and Midnight El to race wide. Triceps Brachii and Mia Shan collided in the home straight. 

Power Sensation and Tiggerlong Zorro were quick to begin. Giant Jarvis and You Never Know were slow to begin. You Never Know and Power Sensation collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Tiggerlong Zorro checked off the heels of Giant Jarvis in the home straight. 

Stir Fry Shrimp was a late scratching at 4:43 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right foreleg split webbing. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Fabulous Gee.

Popowski and Fabulous Gee collided soon after the start. Nambrok Agent raced wide on the first turn, and again on the second turn. Popowski checked off the heels of Zebo Bale approaching the third turn. Nambrok Agent raced wide on the home turn. 

Taylor Bale and Macalister Ike were quick to begin. Renaldo and Central Bark were slow to begin. Renaldo, Central Bark and Possibly collided on the first turn, checking Central Bark and Possibly. Renaldo and Central Bark raced wide on the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Macalister Ike - placed third in the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms J. Power, the representative of Tippa Power regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Tippa Power last raced on 18 Apr 18. Ms Power stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left stopper injury. Ms Power declared a new weight of 31.6 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tippa Power last raced at 32.8 kgs.

Latissimus Dorsi was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Miami Fernando, Pandora's Galaxy and Eggeb Mai collided approaching the first turn, checking Eggeb Mai and Comets Gold. Pandora's Galaxy checked off the heels of Tippa Power on the first turn. Eggeb Mai and Latissimus Dorsi collided on the home turn, causing both greyhounds to race wide. Comets Gold raced wide on the home turn. Latissimus Dorsi and Eggeb Mai collided in the home straight. 

Tippa Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr N. Partridge, the trainer of Belena Surf regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Belena Surf last raced on 30 Jan 18. Mr Partridge stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left toe injury. Mr Partridge declared a new weight of 30.9 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Belena Surf last raced at 32.1 kgs.

Mr W. Portelli was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers/card were produced for the greyhound Suitress pursuant to GAR 33.

A pre race sample was taken from Cruisy's Empress.

Parish Power and Suitress were quick to begin. Belena Bold, Belena Surf and Took My Money were slow to begin. Took My Money and Belena Surf collided soon after the start. Belena Surf and Inga Ted collided approaching the first turn, checking Belena Surf. Suitress and Cruisy's Empress collided on the first turn, checking Cruisy's Empress. Blitzen Bell and Belena Bold collided approaching the home turn. Parish Power, Blitzen Bell, Belena Bold and Suitress raced wide on the home turn. 

Cruisy's Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre race sample was taken from Luke Roman.

Right Said Frank and Flying Sam were quick to begin. Luke Roman and Malick were slow to begin. Right Said Frank and Speedway Lass collided soon after the start. Luke Roman, Becket, Speedway Lass and Malick collided approaching the first turn, checking Becket. Right Said Frank, One Step Ahead and Becket raced wide on the home turn. 

A pre race sample was taken from Kiss Me Putu.

Big Bazza and Sidevalve were slow to begin. Sidevalve and Beyond Today collided approaching the first turn. Mossy Oak, Kiss Me Putu, Sidevalve and Beyond Today collided on the first turn, checking Sidevalve. Kiss Me Putu, Sidevalve and Beyond Today collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Sidevalve, which fell as a result. Aston Veloci and Discovered raced wide on the home turn.
