Kiewa River Run was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle and right groin, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Kraken Lightning and Magical Diamond were quick to begin.  Lyria was slow to begin.  Janray Wild One, Husky Hoofs, Ruby's Boy and Magical Diamond collided soon after the start checking Ruby's Boy.  Ruby's Boy checked off Magical Diamond approaching the first turn, severely checking Ruby's Boy which contacted the running rail.  Janray Wild One and Husky Hoofs collided on the first turn checking Janray Wild One.  Husky Hoofs and Manila Sprite collided approaching the home turn.  Lyria raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Ruby's Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Hayes, the trainer of Sugar Bear, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sugar Bear last raced on 2/4/18. Mr. Hayes stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.

Crackerjack Des was quick to begin.  What Feeling was slow to begin.  All Inn Pippa and Little Red Hot collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Mareth crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Sugar Bear.  Malibu Icon and Mareth raced wide on the home turn.  Mareth raced wide in the home straight.

You Bandit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn right dew claw nail, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr L. Malcolm, Representative of the greyhound, You Bandit.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged You Bandit with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Malcolm pleaded guilty to the charge, You Bandit was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Polly's Nigel was a late scratching at 6:32pm due to non arrival (GAR31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Jaimandy Joyce was quick to begin.  Cullquin Cersei was slow to begin.  Tomal and Apache Oasis collided soon after the start.  Onya Prankstar and Diamond Heart collided soon after the start.  Onya Prankstar and Cullquin Cersei collided approaching the first turn.  Apache Oasis eased approaching the first turn.  Onya Prankstar and Cullquin Cersei collided approaching the home turn.  Onya Prankstar and Premier Back collided in the home straight.

Apache Oasis was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an inury to the right wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr S. Stefanos, Trainer of Apache Oasis. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Apache Oasis with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Stefanos pleaded guilty to the charge, Apache Oasis was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Glacier Boy was a late scratching at 6.03pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration and an elevated temperature. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
