Super Fay was very slow to begin (6 lengths).  Balmoral Bash and Hot Spuds collided approaching the first turn checking Balmoral Bash.  Bud Moran and Perfect Empire collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Hot Spuds and Another Nalin collided approaching the first turn.  Hot Spuds galloped on Perfect Empire approaching the first turn checking Hot Spuds and severely checking Perfect Empire and Another Nalin; both greyhounds raced wide and lost considerable ground.  Bud Moran clipped the heels of Blackpool Remi on the first turn and subsequently fell checking Balmoral Bash and Hot Spuds and severely checking Super Fay.

Enhanced Power was quick to begin.  Start From Zero and Dreamliner were slow to begin.  St. Leo and Daisy Me Diggin' collided approaching the first turn checking Daisy Me Diggin' causing St. Leo to collide with Stealthy Flight checking Stealthy Flight and causing Casper's Fantasy to fall.  Goldie's Nugget was checked off Stealthy Flight in the back straight.  Start From Zero and Daisy Me Diggin' collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Enhanced Power shifted out on the second turn.  Goldie's Nugget was checked off Stealthy Flight approaching the home turn.

Casper's Fantasy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck and right and left thigh, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Big Mary.

Irish Swagger and Strycova collided soon after the start, Irish Swagger subsequently faltered and tailed off.  That Will Be, Grey Magic and Terrah Round collided soon after the start checking Grey Magic.  That Will Be was checked off Terrah Round approaching the first turn.  Grey Magic and Minutes collided on the first turn.  Grey Magic was checked off Minutes approaching the home turn.

Irish Swagger was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck and right thigh, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to handler Ms. B. Johannsen and reminded her of her responsibilites regarding her tardiness in boxing the greyhound Strycova.

Terrah Fire was a late scratching at 10:47am with the permission of Stewards. No stand down penalty was applied.

Mega McKayla was quick to begin.  Modern Jagger was slow to begin.  Tolga, Sassy Slyder and Good One Carl collided on the first turn checking Good One Carl.  Modern Jagger and Tolga collided in the back straight checking Modern Jagger and severely checking Tolga which stumbled and contacted the running rail.

Tolga was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Lady Emerald was quick to begin.  Brandi Belle, Zipping Hazel and Major Amor collided soon after the start.  Zipping Hazel and Major Amor collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Hazel crossed out on the first turn checking Ima Ghost Buster and Major Amor.  Zipping Hazel and Swift Abbey collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Ima Ghost Buster and Zipping Hazel collided entering the back straight.  Zipping Hazel was checked off Major Amor on the third turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr L. Howard the trainer of Resplando regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Resplando last raced on 20 April, 2018 and is returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Whodat Magic crossed out soon after the start and collided with Machiko causing Machiko,  Good Odds Ava and Miss Hanna Berry to collide checking Machiko.  Sazana was checked off Mizuki approaching the second turn severely checking Whodat Magic, Miss Hanna Berry and Zinda Neveelk.  Machiko and Sazana collided in the back straight and again approaching the third turn checking Machiko.  Machiko and Zinda Neveelk collided on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Azza.

Mignon was quick to begin.  Sunset Believer and Azza were slow to begin.  Mignon and Zipping Duff collided on the first turn checking Will Dazzle, Ruby's Cheekstar, Magical Bling and All About Arby.  Mignon and Zipping Duff collided approaching the second turn checking Zipping Duff.  Zipping Duff cramped approaching the home turn and lost considerable ground.

Zipping Duff was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have cramp, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Terry the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Duff.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Fairy Where.

Destructo Rat was quick to begin.  Apila Cash was slow to begin.  Jimmy's Angel shifted out approaching the first turn checking Fairy Where, Surgical Wally and Lektra Damage.  Apila Cash crossed to the rail on the second turn checking Destructo Rat and Mandela Sun.  Surgical Wally was checked off Mandela Sun approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Formosa the trainer of Troy Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Troy Bale last raced on 8 April, 2018 and is returning to racing following a change of kennel.

Lightning Lil, Maybe Hannibal and Brandeen Fi were slow to begin.  Need A Zac, Prince Stealth, Troy Bale, It's Debatable and Tuiaki Dora collided on the first turn checking Troy Bale and It's Debatable.  Lightning Lil and Maybe Hannibal collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Prince Stealth was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hind toe, no stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Where's Marcia.

El Tigera was slow to begin.  Extra Kisses, Where's Marcia and Flying Queen collided approaching the first turn checking Extra Kisses and Flying Queen.  Extra Kisses and Flying Queen collided on the first turn checking Extra Kisses.  El Tigera and Where's Marcia collided on the first turn causing El Tigera to gallop on Where's Marcia severely checking El Tigera and Where's Marcia, Where's Marcia lost considerable ground as a result.

Where's Marcia was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Mr. J. Nibbs the representative for Magpie Fencer declared a new weight of 31.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Magpie Fencer last raced at 29.9kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dargo Dasher.

Magpie Fencer was checked off Supa Pass soon after the start.  Inga Tom was checked off Tricky Trey on the first turn checking Inga Tom and Dargo Dasher.  Magpie Fencer raced wide on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zipping Nicole.

Scrumble crossed out on the first turn checking Soap, Five Lights and Senorita Pepe.  Superior Martini and About To Cry collided on the first turn causing About To Cry to gallop on Superior Martini.  Scrumble raced wide on the first turn.  Senorita Pepe was checked off About To Cry approaching the home turn.

Tiny Octane trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 35.7kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.65 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of .5 lengths.  Tiny Octane was cleared.

Arctic Iggy trialled over 315 metres from box 2, weight 33.4kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.65 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 lengths.  Arctic Iggy was cleared.
