Steward's Report
Dyna Cortina was quick to begin. Dyna Cortina and Shima Mart collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Cortina. Uringa galloped on the heels of Shima Mart on the first turn, checking Shima Mart, Uringa and Dyna Cortina. Shina Mart and Uringa collided in the home straight, checking Shima Mart.
Shima Mart underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
A post-race sample was taken from Shima Mart – unplaced in the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Geall, the representative of Shima Mart, regarding the greyhound performing below market expectations. Mr Geall stated that Shima Mart had received interfernce on the first turn, however he was disappointed with the greyhounds performance over the concluding stages. Mr. Geall added that Shima Mart has been in the kennels for two weeks and had trialled only fairly last week and was surprised that the greyhound was short in the market. Stewards noted his explanation.
