Buckle Up Leo was slow to begin.
Tooka Half and Lady Alliance collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Miss checked off Tooka Half on the first turn severely checking Lektra Miss. Lektra Miss checked off Lady Alliance on the first turn. Joyce's Choice faltered after the winning post.
Joyce's Choice underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock injury. A 90 stand down period was imposed.

TRAIL 1: The following Greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 311m with four greyhounds required to trial. The winning time of trial was 18.20:
Zipping Storm finished 1st, Disco Lemonade finished 2nd, Janiya Bale finished 3rd, Jugungal Black finished 4th.
Zipping Storm – Was stood down from racing at Warragul for Failing To Chase and connections wish to apply blinkers to the greyhound. Weighing 25.3kgs and beginning from box 1 winning by Neck. Zipping Storm has been cleared to race at all tracks except Warragul.
Jugungal Black – Was stood down from racing at Bulli for an unsatisfactory performance and has also not competed in an event for in excess of six months. Weighing 34.2kgs and beginning from box 3 beaten by ½ length. Jugungal Black has been cleared to race at all tracks except Bulli .
