A pre-race sample was taken from Nero Frizzante.
Golden Years and Tippa Power were slow to begin.
Nero Frizzante began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Kaylin and Tippa Power collided soon after the start. Thrill Me checked off Kaylin at the 300m mark. Thrill Me and Tippa Power collided at the 250m mark. Kaylin and Tory's Rocket collided at the 150m mark.
Kubla De Kahn underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Tippa Power underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
