The start of this race was delayed by approximately one minute to allow for the completion of a thoroughbred race at Ascot.

Spring Value and Milo Allen was slow to begin. 

Lektra Rainbow and Henrow Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Lektra Rainbow. Dyna Xarvel checked off Star Reiko on the first turn, checking Spring Value, Lektra Rainbow and Milo Allen.  Milo Allen checked off Lektra Rainbow on the first turn and raced wide as a result.  Steinbrenner checked off Spring Value on the second turn.  Spring Value checked off Dyna Xarvel on the second turn.  Star Reiko checked off Henrow Bale on the third turn.  Star Reiko and Henrow Bale collided on the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Dyna Waqa upon arrival at the course.

Akina Harley was slow to begin. 

Zipping Megan, Lady Pandora, Aston Tobin, Dyna Waqa and Aston Rum collided soon after the start, checking Lady Pandora, Aston Tobin and Dyna Waqa. Big Deal shifted in approaching the first turn, checking Lady Pandora and Dyna Waqa.  Aston Tobin and Dyna Waqa collided on the first turn, checking Dyna Waqa and Akina Harley.  Crackerjack Daza and Big Deal collided on the first turn.  Aston Tobin, Akina Harley and Zipping Megan collided approaching the third turn, checking Zipping Megan.

Nitro Value was slow to begin. 

Brayden Lennox and Matilda Mikado collided soon after the start.  Rocket Jax, Brayden Lennox, Matilda Mikado, Nitro Value and Akina Dee Jay collided on the first turn, checking Rocket Jax, Brayden Lennox, Matilda Mikado, Nitro Value, Akina Dee Jay, Special Drop and Wise Lewis.  Rocket Jax and Brayden Lennox colloded approaching the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Wise Lewis checked off Rocket Jax on the second turn, also checking Nitro Value.

Eddie and Magic Will were slow to begin. 

Shakey Coconut, Eddie, Living Daylights and Summer Skye collided soon after the start.  Shakey Coconut checked off Eddie on the first turn.  Ayo Joy and Eddie collided in the front straight causing Eddie and Star Hunter to collide.  Shakey Coconut and Eddie collided on the second turn, checking Eddie and Magic Will. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Head Banger on 16th May 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Whiskey Riot was quick to begin.  Zipping Magda was slow to begin.  Zipping Leroy stumbled on box rise. 

Rockstar Steffi and Curt Lee collided soon after the start.  Curt Lee crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Head Banger and Rockstar Steffi.  Lektra Caution checked off Kraken Lightning on the first turn, checking Head Banger and Rockstar Steffi.  Lektra Caution, Head Banger and Rockstar Steffi collided approaching the second turn, checking Head Banger and Rockstar Steffi.  Kraken Lightning and Curt Lee collided on the second turn, checking Curt Lee.

Hone In and Dyna Aakil collided soon after the start.  Buy Me Diamonds checked off Reiko Ablett on the first turn.  Hone In, Dyna Aakil and Buy Me Diamonds collided on the home turn.

Yogi Mikado, Ask Me Now and Ash Star collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds.  Ask Me Now checked off Noosa Parade on the first turn and collided with Ash Star.  Yogi Mikado and Ask Me Now collided on the first turn, checking Ask Me Now which collided with Ash Star.  Ash Star checked off Noosa Parade approaching the third turn. 

Dyna Romy and Aston Aniston were slow to begin.  

Headspace crossed to the outside and collided with Dyna Helena.  Boxcar Bella and Aston Aniston collided on the first turn causing Aston Aniston to race wide.  Dyna Helena checked off Minter Bee Cash on the third turn.  Aston Aniston checked off Dyna Helena on the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ace Allen.

Fast Izzi, Sharp Diamond, Spandau Ballet, Soda Geoff and Extra Gear collided on the first turn, checking all greyhounds.  Ace Allen and Kraken Dust collided on the first turn.  Ace Allen checked off Dazzling Bling entering the front straight. Fast Izzi and Sharp Diamond collided approaching the second turn, checking Fast Izzi.  Extra Gear checked off Kraken Dust on the second turn.  Spandau Ballet and Sharp Diamond collided approaching the fourth turn checking Spandau Ballet.  Extra Gear and Kraken Dust collided on the home turn.  Sharp Diamond and Soda Geoff collided on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.  

Vanda Mick and Mossy Oak were slow to begin.  

Soda Crash and Dyna Artist collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Artist.  Mossy Oak crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Wilsash Jazzy which stumbles as a result checking Vanda Mick.
