Pyrenees Inferno was quick to begin. Steorra was slow to begin.
Dodge An' Steele and Black Lazarus collided approaching the first turn, checking Dodge An' Steele.Hornet Hudson checked off Spring Kitty approaching the first turn. Dodge An' Steele and Hornet Hudson collided on the first turn, severely checking Hornet Hudson which became unbalanced for a number of strides and lost considerable ground. Bank Rogue checked off My Mandara entering the home straight.
Hornet Hudson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Hornet Hudson was revetted and was found to sustain an abrasion above the nose. No stand down period was applied.
