A pre-race sample was taken from Southwood Ace.
Noosa Parade, Cloud Cover and Priority Pass were quick to begin. Southwood Ace was slow to begin.
Living Daylights and Whitehart Magic collided soon after the start. Southwood Ace and Spandau Ballet collided on the first turn. Southwood Ace, Spandau Ballet and Diamond Bling collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Living Daylights and Whitehart Magic collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.
Whitehart Magic underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling heavily in the catching pen. No apparent injury could be detected.
