Steward's Report
This event was rescheduled to 5:28pm on the request of Sky Racing.
This event was delayed approximately by two minutes due to a harness race at Kellerberrin running behind schedule.
Cindeen Jates was quick to begin.
Percy's Empire and Vintage Storm collided soon after the start. Hornet Hudson, Slick Maggie and Boycey Road collided approaching the first turn checking Slick Maggie and Boycey Road. Hornet Hudson checked off Percy's Empire on the second turn. Cindeen Jates and Midnight Waltz collided approaching the winning post.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Hornet Hudson, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Due to the OTV leaving the course the greyhound Hornet Hudson was unable to be examined. Stewards will follow up with trainer Troy Scott regarding the recovery of the greyhound.
Trial Results
Snags Mckenzie – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Sandown for failing to chase by reason of injury. Weighing 33.6kg and beginning from box 1, Snags Mckenzie completed the 515m trial distance in a time of 29.33. Snags McKenzie placed 1st in a field of 4 of starters winning by 15.5 lengths. Snags Mckenzie has been cleared to race at all tracks.
