Uzzi Bale - Late scratching at 1:07pm on Veterinary advice after the greyhound was found to be infected with fleas. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Idria Bale, Miss Bellawood and Prince Ferno were quick to begin.  Weblec Jack, Rynell Bale and Bowled Underarm were slow to begin.

Weblec Jack and Rynell Bale collided soon after the start.  Idria Bale checked off Miss Bellawood approaching the first turn colliding with Weblec Jack; checking both greyhounds.  Rynell Bale and Weblec Jack collided on the first turn checking Weblec Jack.  Shanjo Prince and Bowled Underarm collided approaching the second turn.  Rynell Bale checked off Bowled Underarm approaching the second turn.    

Newfire Chelle and Miss Vonshae were quick to begin.  Red Rochelle, Ya Ya Ya and Glorious were slow to begin.

Newfire Chelle, Bruce's Back, One Step Forward and Glorious collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Vonshae and Ya Ya Ya; severely checking Newfire Chelle who fell as a result.  Maximus competed in the event with a dislodged muzzle.

Newfire Chelle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness to the left hind thigh and abrasions to the right foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Crowdza Dancin'.

The start of this event was delayed approximately three minutes due to a power issue with the lure. Following remedial work by Club staff the lure was satisfactorily tested and a second stir up conducted. Following these tests Stewards were satisfied with the lure and proceeded with the race.

Havana Miss checked off Mayhem Express soon after the start and collided with Lady Bang Bang.  Hedonistic, Havana Miss, Lady Bang Bang and Dundee Ace collided approaching the first turn.

Ballistic Yaala, Zipping Murphy and Vroom Vroom were slow to begin.

Yuken Merry and Zipping Murphy collided soon after the start checking Zipping Murphy.  Hardaway Jayjay, Ruth's Girl, Lightwood Lass and Inter Mimi collided approaching the first turn.  Ballistic Yaala and Yuken Merry collided approaching the first turn checking Yuken Merry and Vroom Vroom.  Ballistic Yaala and Ruth's Girl collided approaching the second turn checking Ruth's Girl.  Inter Mimi and Hardaway Jayjay collided on the home tur checking Inter Mimi.  Inter Mimi and Zipping Murphy collided in the home straight.  

This event was delayed approximately by two minutes due to a gallops race at Albany running behind schedule.

Amor Vincit and Barcia Houdini were slow to begin.

Saint West and Last Hurrah collided from soon after the start until approaching the first turn.  Barcia Houdini and Last Hurrah collided on the first turn checking Last Hurrah. Saint West and Last Hurrah collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Battered Sav raced wide approaching the second turn. Mepunga Frankie, Know Success and Amor Vincit collided on the third turn checking Barcia Houdini and Knock The Clock; severely checking Know Success.

Hardaway Winnie and Callum's Son collided soon after the start.  Billy Moran and Tezzalenko collided soon after the start.  Blackjack Neo and Billy Moran collided approaching the first turn.  Tezzalenko and Hardaway Winnie collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Noaki Colour and Callum's Son collided approaching the third turn checking both greyhounds.

Midnight Dare - Performed an exhibition trial over the 515m from box 3, weighing 31.4kg. Splits 5.03 & 18.83 in a time of 29.173.

Ichiban Fairy and Assasins Code collided soon after the start.  Golden Romance crossed to the rail approaching the first turn colliding with Ichiban Fairy, Arch Rival, Twice Blessed and Busy Bella.  Twice Blessed, Arch Rival, Ichiban Fairy, Assasins Code, It's A Diva and New Lass collided approaching the first turn checking Arch Rival, Assasins Code, It's A Diva and New Lass.  Busy Bella and Golden Romance collided approaching the second turn checking Busy Bella.   

This event was rescheduled to 5:28pm on the request of Sky Racing.

This event was delayed approximately by two minutes due to a harness race at Kellerberrin running behind schedule.

Cindeen Jates was quick to begin.

Percy's Empire and Vintage Storm collided soon after the start.  Hornet Hudson, Slick Maggie and Boycey Road collided approaching the first turn checking Slick Maggie and Boycey Road.  Hornet Hudson checked off Percy's Empire on the second turn.  Cindeen Jates and Midnight Waltz collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Hornet Hudson, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Due to the OTV leaving the course the greyhound Hornet Hudson was unable to be examined.  Stewards will follow up with trainer Troy Scott regarding the recovery of the greyhound.  

Trial Results

Snags Mckenzie – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Sandown for failing to chase by reason of injury. Weighing 33.6kg and beginning from box 1, Snags Mckenzie completed the 515m trial distance in a time of 29.33. Snags McKenzie placed 1st in a field of 4 of starters winning by 15.5 lengths. Snags Mckenzie has been cleared to race at all tracks.
