Steward's Report

Nellie Shan – New declared weight of 29.3 kgs, last raced at 30.5 kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Feelin'.

Fargo Victorem and Feelin' were slow to begin   Dyna Nelly, Ace Victorem, Inter Mimi and Nellie Shan collided soon after the start, checking Ace Victorem and Nellie Shan.  Fargo Victorem checked off Feelin' on the first turn.  Jacobite Hammer and Feelin' collided on the first turn, checking Feelin'.  Ace Victorem checked off Feelin' approaching the home turn.  Jacobite Hammer checked off Inter Mimi on the home turn. Inter Mimi turned its head outwards entering the home straight.  Inter Mimi and Lady Maximus collided approaching the winning post.

Inter Mimi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg quadriceps injury and abrasions to the left wrist, a five day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to handler, Ms Tammy Collins, regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Inter Mimi was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Inter Mimi must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
