Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Brother Griff.
Tearaway Train was slow to begin. Spector Icon, Pyrenees Petraca and Brother Griff collided soon after the start, checking Pyrenees Petraca. Spector Icon and Pyrenees Petraca collided approaching the first turn, checking Pyrenees Petraca. Pyrenees Petraca clipped the heels of Spector Icon on the first turn. Arch Rival and Redcliff Rebel collided on the first turn, checking Redcliff Rebel. Zipping Stan failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post and collided with Tearaway Train.
Zipping Stan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr David Torr, the trainer of Zipping Stan regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Zipping Stan was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Torr pleaded not guilty to the charge, Zipping Stan was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
