Pyrenees Steel was very slow to begin (3L). Arninator, Valstrepo and Sky Show collided approaching the first turn, checking Sky Show. Arninator and Valstrepo collided on the first turn, checking Arninator. Dashing Pedro clipped the heels of Arninator approaching the home turn, checking Don't Tell Pappa, Sky Show, Dashing Pedro and Pyrenees Steele; severely checking Arninator. Pyrenees Steele raced wide approaching the home turn and galloped on the heels of Sky Show; severely checking Sky Show.
Arninator underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the right front, and left and right hind feet. A five stand down period was imposed.
Sky Show underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
