Yuken Pay Me and Minter Bee Star were quick to begin. Rosie Reigns, Nothin' To Lose and Victory Post were slow to begin. Yuken Pay Me and Flying Moss collided on the first turn checking Flying Moss. Rosie Reigns and Nothin' To Lose collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Flying Moss and Victory Post collided approaching the home turn. Airly Spence and Minter Bee Star collided approaching the winning post. Flying Moss and Victory Post collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards noted that Victory Post should have been boxed first in this event but due to a clerical error this did not occur.
Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry into the behaviour of Mr. Ben Divirgilio at the start, prior the the event, following the event and after he abruptly left the Stewards room after being directed not to.
