Steward's Report
Trainer, Mr Gary Selkrig was questioned regarding the scratching of Atarah in this event. After taking initial evidence from Mr Selkrig, there were some inconsistancies in the reason for the scratching. Mr Selkrig was directed to present Atarah to the Cranbourne race meeting tomorrow night for a veterinarian examination.
Saint Burner was quick to begin. Valstrepo was slow to begin. Stewoe Deeds, Someone Blue and Big Cam collided soon after the start. Someone Blue clipped the heels of Saint Burner approaching the first turn. Someone Blue, Big Cam and Valstrepo collided on the first turn, checking Big Cam. Saint Burner and Valstrepo collided on the first turn, checking Valstrepo. Someone Blue raced wide entering the home straight, checking Saint Burner. Someone Blue crossed to the rail in the home straight, checking Saint Burner and Valstrepo.
Someone Blue and Valstrepo underwent a post-race veterinary examination after contacting the catching pen gate, no apparent injury could be detected.
A post-race sample was taken from Someone Blue - the winner of the event.
