Meeting Comments:

This meeting is deemed Hot Weather Affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 23.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.0 degrees.

Kennel Temperature when the greyhounds were retrieved from the kennels - 17.0 degrees.

Mr B. Wellington, trainer of Renshaw Avenue, declared a new weight of 33.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Renshaw Avenue last raced at 34.6kg.

Bushranger Boy, Inter Mimi and Renshaw Avenue collided soon after the start. George Knockin' and Inter Mimi collided at the 200m mark. Billie's Bro faltered and fell at the 150m mark. George Knockin' and Inter Mimi collided at the 100m mark.

Billie's Bro was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained fractured right hock, and was humanely euthanised.

Stewards spoke to Mr W. Bocquet, the trainer of Tampico regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tampico last raced on the 5th September 2018. Mr Bocquet stated that the greyhound was resuming race after a seasonal spell.

Tampico, Tat Ox, All Inn Tyler and Wild Bandit were slow to begin.

Spolly's Girl and Keybey collided at the 150m mark. Inter Joe, Spolly's Girl and Keybey collided approaching the 50m mark checking Inter Joe and Spolly's Girl and severely checking Keybey.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Sutcliffe, the trainer of Bally Beckham regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bally Beckham last raced on the 26th August 2018. Mr Sutcliffe stated that the greyhound is resuming racing after a left groin injury and a virus.

Guevara, Ruby's Boy and Anna Victorem were slow to begin.

Ruby's Boy and Anna Victorem collided soon after the start. Chantilly Mack raced wide soon after the start. Wayne Kenneth and Sudden Call collided soon after the start. Ruby's Boy and Anna Victorem collided approaching the 50m mark.

Shirdale Casey and Stage Fright were slow to begin.

No Recourse and Jaggered Edge collided soon after the start and approaching the 300m mark. Toonang and Winter Soldier collided approaching the 300m mark. Toonang, Shirdale Casey and Winter Soldier collided approaching the 250m mark checking Winter Soldier. Toonang and Shirdale Casey collided approaching the 150m mark checking Shirdale Casey. Winter Soldier and Lady Bang Bang collided approaching the 50m mark.

Zipping Waldo was slow to begin.

Just Talking and Smoke Signals collided soon after the start. Smoke Signls and Shirdale Tom Collided soon after the start. Light Of Tanjil, Smoke Signals and Cawbourne Mav collided approaching the 200m mark checking Smoke Signals. Lights Of Tanjil and Just Talking collided approaching the winning post.

Cawbourne Mav was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right thigh and right triangle muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Go Didda Go and Vandebay collided soon after the start. Gojek and Merl's Michu collided soon after the start. Merl's Michu crossed out approaching the 300m mark and checked off Challis Annie. Gojek crossed out approaching the 300m mark. Fancy Hope faltered at the 300m mark.

Fancy Hope was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Kennel Temperature when the greyhounds were retrieved from the kennels - 18.6 degrees.

A pre-race sample was taken from Osti's Sprite.

Cut Snake was slow to begin.

Rocky Rooster and Brave Innings collided at the 250m mark checking Cut Snake, Brave Innings and Rocky Rooster. Rocky Rooster marred Spritely Bob approaching the winning post.

Rocky Rooster was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left metatarsals. No stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Gorgioski, the trainer of the greyhound Rocky Rooster regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Rocky Rooster with marring. Mr Gorgioski pleaded not guilty to the charge, Rocky Rooster was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville track and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Boyd and Broadway Polka were slow to begin.

Rhomboid and Gunmetal Liam collided soon after the start. Broadway Polka and Miss Booming collided soon after the start. Ryder Sir, Maggie Mikado and Broadway Polka collided soon after the start.

Chase On Case was a late scratching at 17:49pm on the 10/1/19 due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bugs Boloney.

Early Storm was slow to begin.

Bugs Boloney crossed out soon after the start checking Rube's Ablaze and Tinderella. Rube's Ablaze and Tinderella collided approaching the 250m mark checking Tinderella. Tinderella and Zero Five collided at the 50m mark. Rube's Ablaze and Tinderella collided approaching the winning post.

Pinciotti and Oliver Cruise collided at the 250m mark. Rapana, Pinciotti and Oliver Cruise collided at the 200m mark. Challis Sprite, Hit 'N' Split, Rapana, Pinciotti and Oliver Cruise collided at the 150m mark. Hit 'N' Split and Rapana collided at the 100m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Luna Girl.

Tinker Bess was slow to begin.

Riccarton, Tusksa, All You Got, Miss Luna Girl and Arlecchino collided at the 250m mark severely checking Tusksa. Tusksa, All You Got, Tinker Bess and Arlecchino collided at the 200m mark severely checking Tusksa who stumbled and lost ground as a result.

Tusksa was vetted following the event. It was reported that that there was no apparent injury found.

Kennel Temperature when the greyhounds were retrieved from the kennels - 19.4 degrees.

Bossino was a late scratching at 10:28am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right front spike wound. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Cullquin Panda was slow to begin.

She's A Rebel and Fruit Frames collided at the 250m mark, approaching the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark.
