A pre-race sample was taken from Cobber Victorem.
Dream Boulevard and Cobber Victorem were quick to begin. Cleary Allen, Quick Session and Solar Mocha collided soon after the start. Bobby Tokaam and Solar On collided on the first turn, checking Bobby Tokaam which collided with Solar Mocha; severely checking Bobby Tokaam. Cobber Victorem and Quick Session collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Cobber Victorem. Kraken Copper and Cleary Allen collided in the home straight, checking Cleary Allen.
Cobber Victorem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hindleg left stopper. No stand down period was imposed.
Bobby Tokaam was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
