Shifting Sands was quick to begin.  Thistle Smoke was slow to begin.

Mepunga Wonder and Callanish Sprite collided soon after the start.  Aston Vanquish and Leprechaun Dance collided soon after the start.  Mepunga Wonder and Callanish Sprite collided approaching the first turn.  Fireball Friday, Mepunga Wonder and Shifting Sands collided on the first turn.  Thistle Smoke contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Callanish Sprite and Leprechaun Dance.  Fireball Friday, Mepunga Wonder and Shifting Sands collided on the second turn. Thistle Smoke checked off Shifting Sands entering the back straight.  Shifting Sands, Leprechaun Dance, Zoe's Intention and Thistle Smoke collided on the third turn.  Callanish Sprite contacted the running rail on the third turn.

Callanish Sprite was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left deltoid, left trapezius and right sartorius injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Thistle Smoke was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr N. Wakefield regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Fully Loaded. Stewards directed that Fully Loaded be boxed first in future events.

Yuken Pay Me, Zanzeedoo and Moroka Assassin were slow to begin.

Coffee Scroll and Yuken Pay Me collided approaching the first turn checking Coffee Scroll.  Yuken Pay Me checked off Star Fever on the first turn.  Star Fever and Moroka Assassin collided on the first turn checking Star Fever.  Lava You Beauty galloped on Moroka Assassin approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Coffee Scroll and Zanzeedoo collided in the back straight checking Coffee Scroll.  Jetyra Buckskin galloped on Coffee Scroll in the back straight severely checking Jetyra Buckskin which stumbled.  Moroka Assassin checked off Star Fever on the third turn.  Zanzeedoo and Yuken Pay Me collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Zanzeedoo turned its head outwards towards Yuken Pay Me approaching the home turn and collided with that greyhound.

Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Carr, the trainer of Zanzeedoo regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Zanzeedoo was vetted and re-vetted following event 11.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right saddle soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Zanzeedoo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Carr pleaded guilty to the charge, Zanzeedoo was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jetyra Buckskin was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sore back, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Extreme Summer was quick to begin.  Orleans and Modified Trunk were slow to begin.

Dealer Wins and What's Up Skip collided soon after the start.  What’s Up Skip, Zipping Galon and Orleans collided on the first turn checking What's Up Skip and Zipping Galon.  Dealer Wins and Kiss Me Nicki collided in the back straight checking Kiss Me Nicki.  Dealer Wins and Molly Coaster collided approaching the winning post.

What's Up Skip was required to undergo a post race veterinarian examination however the greyhound was not presented. After considering the circumstances Stewards issued handler Mr Raymond Floyd a warning pursuant to GAR 42(2) in that he left course without being authorised by Stewards. Mr Floyd was directed to present What's Up Skip to the on track veterinarian at the Sale Greyhound Racing Club meeting on Saturday 26 January 2019. 

What's Up Skip underwent a veterinarian examination at the Sale Greyhound Racing Club meeting on Saturday 26 January 2019 and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. What's Up Skip has been stood down from racing for a period of seven days.
