Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Sale Graze Bindi a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Pepper Shiraz was quick begin.  Romanova was slow to begin.

Soda Flakes and Sale Graze Bindi collided soon after the start.  Soda Flakes and Romanova collided approaching the first turn.  Whiney Whine and Midnight Mystery collided on the first turn.  Pepper Shiraz faltered entering the back straight and pulled up.  Romanova, Soda Flakes and Pepper Shiraz collided in the back straight checking Romanova.  Sale Graze Bindi visibly eased approaching the home turn.

Pepper Shiraz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right fractured hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Miss M. Toner, the representative of the greyhound Sale Graze Bindi regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Sale Graze Bindi was vetted following race 10. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right chest muscle and abrasions to the right metatarsals, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Sale Graze Bindi with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Miss Toner pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sale Graze Bindi was found guilty. Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
