Aeroplane Bella, Navy Storm, Jugdish and Black Dash Three collided soon after the start.  Black Dash Three and Regal Duke collided approaching the first turn.  Lightning Seven crossed in on the first turn checking Piparae and Navy Storm.  Navy Storm and Black Dash Three collided in the home straight.

Pre-races samples were taken from Our Flying Kenny and Molly Spolly.

Stewards spoke to the trainer Mrs K. Leviston and reminded her of  her responsibilities in relation to the dress code (LRR 22.3).

Molly Spolly, Ebonique, Emma Lakers and Buckle Up Spud collided soon after the start.  Emma Lakers and Ebonique collided approaching the first turn.  Our Flying Kenny and Molly Spolly collided approaching the home turn.  Destini Exactor and Emma Lakers collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds. 

Really Magic and Sazoo Icon were slow to begin.

Let's Run crossed in soon after the start checking Sazoo Icon and Little Pookie.  Beluga Diamond checked off Jimmy's Angel approaching the first turn checking Really Magic.  Little Pookie and Sazoo Icon collided approaching the first turn.  Jimmy's Angel checked off Tijuana Icon on the first turn.  Beluga Diamond and Really Magic collided on the first turn.  

A post-race sample was taken from Tijuana Icon - winner of the event. 

Mrs J. Imlach, trainer of Kimani declared a new weight of 25.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kimani last raced at 26.3kgs.

Dyna Winter was quick to begin.

Zipping Dash and Kimani collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Big Bubbles checked off Lost Blue on the first turn.  Zipping Dash clipped the heels of Kimani on the first turn.  Lost Blue and Harper's Hand collided on the home turn.  Big Bubbles and Kimani collided approaching the winning post.

A post-race sample was taken from Dyna Winter - winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Tonner, the representative of Ita Louisa regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ita Louisa last raced on 5 September 2018 and is returning from a seasonal spell.

A pre-race sample was taken from Coffee Scroll.

It's A Frenzy and Zipping Buffy were quick to begin.

Terrigal Tornando and Stevie Dee collided soon after the start.  Coffee Scroll and Zipping Benny collided soon after the start.  Stevie Dee and Coffee Scroll collided approaching the second turn.  Zipping Amy and Ita Louisa collided approaching the home turn.  It's A Frenzy and Zipping Buffy collided in the home straight. 

Terrigal Tornando was vetted and re-vetted following event 8.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Miss J. Hampshire, the representative of the greyhound Terrigal Tornado. Stewards deemed the performance of Terrigal Tornado unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Terrigal Tornado must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Orazzi Ohh. 

Dynamic Rainbow was quick to begin.  Woodleigh Blue and Bejarano were slow to begin.

Rock Johnson galloped on Empress Rose approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dynamic Rainbow, Hip Hippy Shake and Rock Johnson collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Bejarano, Rock Johnson and severely checking Hip Hippy Shake which faltered and tailed off.  Orazzi Ohh checked off Pink Floyd approaching the second turn.  Dynamic Rainbow and Bejarano collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Dynamic Rainbow and Rock Johnson.  Woodleigh Blue contacted the running rail on the home turn.

Hip Hippy Shake was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock fracture and right triangle injuries, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Barcia Houdini was slow to begin.

Our Delta Rose and Mahi Indian collided approaching the first turn checking Mahi Indian and causing Barcia Houdini to race wide.  Mahi Indian and Deano's Smidge collided on the first turn checking Mahi Indian.  Dex's Affair checked off Blunderbuss on the second turn.  Barcia Houdini checked off Our Delta Rose in the back straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Saetta.

Saetta and Spazzy Blue were quick to begin.  Water Colour was slow to begin.

It's A Bull and Dyna Xerox collided approaching the first turn.  It's A Bull and Main One collided on the first turn.  Dyna Xerox checked off Spazzy Blue on the first turn checking It's A Bull and Main One. 

Why Not Bazzar and Penny Worth were quick to begin.  Roland View was slow to begin.

All You Got galloped on the heels of Go Zippy Go on the first turn checking Go Zippy Go which lost ground checking All You Got, Charlott's Angel and Roland View.  Roland View and All You Got collided approaching the home turn. 

Go Zippy Go was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Why Not Hugh. 

Karise Fusileer and Why Not Leo were quick to begin.  Eduardo Rose and Westworth were slow to begin.  Scooby Boy was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Latinize, Buckle Up Leo and Trap Queen collided approaching the first turn checking Buckle Up Leo.  Python Pride and Riccarton collided approaching the first turn checking Riccarton.  Trap Queen and Phillip Keeping collided on the first turn checking Phillip Keeping, Buckle Up Leo and Python Pride.  Phillip Keeping and Python Pride collided on the home turn checking Python Pride.  Buckle Up Leo and Python Pride collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Ferno The Nando and Fiesty Ivy collided approaching the first turn.  Jayanti and Luna Evening collided approaching the first turn checking Luna Evening.  Able Bess and Ferno The Nando collided approaching the first turn checking Ferno The Nando; checking Jayanti and severely checking Fiesty Ivy and Luna Evening.  Ferno The Nando and Penny Lane Keats collided approaching the home turn.  Jayanti and Penny Lane Keats collided in the home straight.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) and Weight Trial - Stewards spoke to Mr R. Conway, the trainer of Galloping Flash regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Galloping Flash last raced on 16 September 2018 and is returning from a left front toe injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Galloping Flash trialled over the 311mtrs from box 4, weight 31.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.02, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 ½ lengths. Galloping Flash was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs S Saunders, the owner of Boycey Road regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Boycey Road last raced on 24 March 2018 and is returning from injuries and seasonal spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Boycey Road trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 31.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.02, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 ½ lengths.  Boycey Road was Cleared.
