Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Newfire Drewie.
Dynamic Rainbow and Coco Spectre were quick to begin.
Dynamic Rainbow and Mahi Indian collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Coco Spectre and Newfire Drewie collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Coco Spectre, Newfire Drewie and Lingua Franca collided on the first turn checking Coco Spectre, Newfire Drewie and severely checking Lingua Franca which fell as a result. Dynamic Rainbow and Coco Spectre collided on the second turn checking Dynamic Rainbow, Mahi Indian and Coco Spectre causing Mahi Indian to contact the running rail. Dynamic Rainbow and Bella's Ghost collided in the back straight.
Lingua Franca was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right front foot and both hind feet, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Mahi Indian was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
