Superior Charry and Big Brute were slow to begin.
Superior Charry and Big Brute collided soon after the start. Ko Rapid Jack and Bird Of Paradise collided soon after the start. Bushranger Boy and Dirty Stella collided soon after the start. Rival Jaz crossed to the outside at the 250m mark colliding with Ko Rapid Jack and Bird Of Paradise checking both greyhounds. Dirty Stella and Rival Jaz collided approaching the 250m mark. Dirty Stella and Superior Charry collided at the 250m mark checking Superior Charry and Big Brute. Bushranger Boy and Tex Kingdom collided several times from the 200m mark to the 100m mark. Superior Charry checked off Ko Rapid Jack approaching the 50m mark. Superior Charry checked off Bushranger Boy at the 50m mark. Bushranger Boy checked off Rival Jaz at the 50m mark.
