Coco Marlow and Pop Do It collided soon after the start checking Pop Do It. Tiggerlong Nosey and Fabstar collided on the first turn checking Fabstar. Little Pookie, In The Net and Fabstar collided approaching the home turn checking Little Pookie.

In The Net was vetted following the event after suffering interference soon after the winning post. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal fracture and was humanely euthanased.
