Steward's Report
Sustain The Rage was a late scratching at 4.50PM on 8 December 2018 due to a right fibia injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Cee Me Shine and Loranza were slow to begin.
Flossing and Shoot To Miss collided on the first turn checking Shoot To Miss causing Ash Star to gallop on Shoot To Miss checking Lorenza. Cee Me Shine checked off Shoot To Miss in the back straight. Cee Me Shine and Ash Star collided approaching the third turn checking both greyhounds. Cee Me Shine eased in the home straight and tailed off.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Borradale, the trainer of the greyhound Cee Me Shine regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Cee Me Shine was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid and left back muscle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Cee Me Shine with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Borradale pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cee Me Shine was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
