Steward's Report
This meeting was deemed heat affected. At the close of Kennelling the outside temperature was 33.6 degrees and the kennel temperature was 21.2 degrees.
Jaimandy Tony was slow to begin. Londyn's Choice and Garbutt collided approaching the first turn. Londyn's Choice, Garbutt and Kehestto collided on the first turn. Londyn's Choice, Garbutt, Kehestto and Jaimandy Tony collided approaching the home turn checking Londyn's Choice. Jaimandy Tony failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Rhodes, the handler of the greyhound Jaimandy Tony regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Jaimandy Tony was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both wrists, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jaimandy Tony with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Rhodes pleaded guilty to the charge, Jaimandy Tony was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
