Stewards spoke to Mr K. Chivell, the trainer of Public Life regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Public Life last raced on 17 June, 2018. Mr Chivell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change in kennels.
Mareth and What Feeling collided soon after the start. Public Life and Miss Cheekiness collided soon after the start. Queen's Grace, Don's Queen and Goofey Express collided soon after the start. Queen's Grace and Goofey Express collided at the 250m mark. Mareth and Sylo collided at the 250m mark checking Public Life. Queen's Grace and Don's Queen collided several times between the 250m mark and the 200m mark. Don's Queen and Goofey Express collided at the 150m mark. Sylo checked off Mareth approaching the 100m mark. Miss Cheekiness crossed in approaching the 50m mark and collided with Public Life several times approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.
