Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Courts, the trainer of Barcia Houdini regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Barcia Houdini last raced on 8th May 2018 and is returnng to race following re-education.

Dyna Zultan was quick to begin.  Barcia Houdini was slow to begin.  Living Daylights and Chantilly Mack collided approaching the first turn checking Chantilly Mack.  Uma Allen and Twist Allen collided on the first turn checking Twist Allen, Dyna Zultan, Living Daylights and Chantilly Mack.  Chantilly Mack raced wide on the home turn.  Uma Allen and Viking Vince collided in the home straight.  Chantilly Mack and Living Daylights raced wide in the home straight.

Chantilly Mack was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Graham, the trainer of Hello Beryl regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hello Beryl last raced on 16th May 2018 and is resuming racing after having toe nails removed from the left hind foot.  Mr. Graham also declared a new weight of 25.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Hello Beryl last raced at 24.0kgs.

Two For Me and Ace Cruising collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Two For Me raced wide on the home turn.  Hello Beryl raced wide in the home straight.

Half A Minya and New Samsation were quick to begin.  Shorty George was slow to begin.  Seaside Shuffle and Jiggly Wiggly collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  New Samsation and Charmed An Taken collided approaching the first turn.  Petey Baqui, Hurricane Rose, Charmed An Taken, New Samsation and Half A Minya collided on the first turn checking New Samsation, Charmed An Taken, Hurricane Rose and Shorty George.  Jiggly Wiggly and New Samsation collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Hurricane Rose checked off Shorty George on the home turn.  Hurricane Rose raced wide in the home straight.

Maximum Bliss and Please Stand Up were quick to begin.  Play That Song, Amor Vincit, Broadway Polka and Dyna Yasso collided soon after the start checking Amor Vincit.  Broadway Polka and Speckie McKean collided approaching the first turn.  Broadway Polka galloped on the heels of Please Stand Up on the first turn checking Please Stand Up.  Dyna Yasso and Oakvale Magic collided on the first turn.  Broadway Polka checked off Speckie McKean on the first turn.  Amor Vincit checked off Play That Song on the first turn.  Please Stand Up checked off Maximum Bliss approaching the home turn.  Please Stand Up raced wide entering the home straight and stumbled as a result.  Maximum Bliss, Broadway Polka, Speckie McKean and Please Stand Up raced wide in the home straight.

Please Stand Up was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left triangle muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sabjorn Bale.

Spectra Style and Cassius Monelli collided approaching the first turn.  Cassius Monelli, Fleur Delacour, Spectra Style and Lockrod collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.

Sabjorn Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound cramped.  No stand down was imposed as the cramp occured after the winning post.

Scott Dynamism and Vis Vitae collided soon after the start.  Dyna Diedre and Little Big Town collided approaching the first turn.  Scott Dynamism and Vis Vitae collided on the home turn.  Scott Dynamism raced wide on the home turn checking Vis Vitae.

She's Gifted and Main One collided soon after the start.  Mepunga Pride and Tiggerlong Nosey collided soon after the start.  Osakalaka checked off Tiggerlong Nosey on the home turn.  Mepunga Pride raced wide in the home straight.

Payne, the trainer of Diesel's A Rebel regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Diesel's A Rebel last raced on 22nd April 2018 and is resuming racing from acidosis.  Mr. Payne also declared a new weight of 34.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Diesel's A Rebel last raced at 33.5kgs.

Diesel's A Rebel and General Missy were quick to begin.  Aqualite was slow to begin.  Stagger Out Fred and Sustain The Rage collided soon after the start.  Sustain The Rage and Diesel's A Rebel collided soon after the start checking Sustain The Rage.  Black Torino and Line Trike collided soon after the start checking Line Trike.  Stagger Out Fred and Sustain The Rage collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Black Torino, Cruisy's and Aqualite collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Black Torino and Line Trike collided on the first turn checking Line Trike.  Stagger Out Fred and Cruisy's collided entering the home straight.

Supplementary Report:

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Mathieson the trainer of Go Ekay which raced at The Meadows on 15th August 2018.  Stewards issued him with a warning after he failed to check the clearance to leave course form, which resulted in Mr. Mathieson removing Go Ekay from the kennels and leaving the course without Stewards permission. Go Ekay was vetted at Geelong on 16th August 2018 and was found to have a Lumbo-Sacral injury. A five day stand down period was issued.
