Steward's Report
Zipper Shoes was quick to begin. Chinookan Blue was slow to begin.
Terrigal Tornado and Shanlyn Sprite collided soon after the start. Lochbrae Moss and Shanlyn Sprite collided approaching the first turn. Zipper Shoes and Khlo Money collided on the first turn. Terrigal Tornado lost ground in the back straight. Zipper Shoes and Chinookan Blue collided on the third turn and again on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Willcocks the trainer of Terrigal Tornado and issued him with a warning after he failed to properly check the clearance to leave course form, which resulted in Mr Willcocks removing Terrigal Tornado from the kennels and leaving the course without Stewards permission. Stewards contacted Mr Willcocks and directed that he return to the course with the greyhound.
Terrigal Tornado was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right deltoid soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Exhibition Trial: - Buckle Up Rose trialled over the 515mtrs from box 5, weight 25.0kgs. The time of the trial was 1st split (5.18), 2nd split (29.28), overall time (29.947). A post-race sample was taken from the greyhound.
