Steward's Report
Mr Lonely and Get Go Boy collided approaching the first turn. Mr Lonely galloped on the heels of Get Go Boy on the first turn. Mr. Lonely visibly eased and lost ground on the first turn. Swordfish Fozz and Coco Baroque collided on the home the home turn. Mr. Lonely and Level Neville collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
Mr. Lonely underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 5 - no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Magri, the trainer of Mr. Lonely regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Mr. Lonely was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Magri pleaded guilty to the charge, Mr. Lonely is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
