Steward's Report
Smart Mary was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Akina Moss, Lektra Brandy, Inkling, Zemira Mikado and Atomic Icon. Zemira Mikado checked off Inkling approaching the first turn checking Atomic Icon. Zemira Mikado, Go Twenty Two and Akina Moss collided on the first turn severely checking Akina Moss causing Go Twenty Two to fall. Inkling checked off Smart Mary on the second turn severely checking Lektra Brandy. Atomic Icon and Inkling collided several times in the back straight checking both greyhounds. Akina Moss and Inkling collided approaching the home turn checking Akina Moss.
Go Twenty Two underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury and a spike wound to the left hind foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
