A pre-race urine sample was taken from Akina Harley.
Akina Harley, Why Not Pocket and Spring Value were slow to begin.
Medina, Koenigsegg One, Full Of Weetbix, I'm Easy Boys and Spring Value collided soon after the start checking Koenigsegg One and Spring Value. Go Slow Goldy, Why Not Pocket, Medina, Full Of Weetbox and I'm Easy Boys collided approaching the first turn checking Medina, Why Not Pockets and Full Of Weetbox. Akina Harley and Koenigsegg One collided approaching the first turn. Medina and Spring Value collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Why Not Pockets raced wide approaching the second turn checking Full Of Weetbix, Medina and Spring Value. Koenigsegg One and Akina Harley collided in the back straight. Why Not Pockets and Full Of Weetbix collided in the back straight. Go Slowly Goldy lost ground approaching the third turn to the home turn. Spring Value checked off Go Slowy Goldy approaching the home turn. Why Not Pockets and Full Of Weetbix collided approaching the home turn.
Go Slow Goldy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10 and was found to have bruising to the right back muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Delbridge, the trainer of Go Slow Goldy regarding its performance approaching the third turn to the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Go Slow Goldy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Medina underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race blood sample was taken from I'm Easy Boys - winner of the event.
Supplementary Report: Go Slow Goldy was presented to the Craigeburn Veterinary Clinic on 29 June 2019 for an examination. The information received from that examination indictaed that Go Slow Goldy had a Garde 4 tear of the left triangle muscle at the time of this exam.
