Stewards spoke to the representative Mr V. Inguanti, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Humble Inquiry was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Inguanti pleaded guilty to the charge, Humble Inquiry must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Trewin, the representative of Aston Verve regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Aston Verve was charged with marring. Mr Trewin pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Verve is suspended for 28 days at Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Supplementary Report:  Go Slow Goldy was presented to the Craigeburn Veterinary Clinic on 29 June 2019 for an examination. The information received from that examination indictaed that Go Slow Goldy had a Garde 4 tear of the left triangle muscle at the time of this exam.

High Tenacity, Vixstar and Dyna Xarvel were slow to begin.

Shamrock Valley, Vixstar and Dyna Xarvel collided soon after the start.  Nitro Value checked off Riley's Paige approaching the first turn and collided with Shamrock Valley.  Riley's Paige and Dyna Helena collided on the first turn.  Vixstar and Dyna Xarvel collided on the first turn.  Dyna Xarvel checked off Vixstar approaching the home turn checking High Tenacity.  Vixstar and Dyna Xarvel collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards opened an inquiry with Mr B Courts regarding his failure to catch the greyhounds Lucas The Great and Ruby Girl. Stewards took evidence from Mr G Crowcher, Mr E Hamilton, and Mr B Courts. Mr Courts pleaded guilty to a charge under GAR 86(o), in that he negligently failed to catch the greyhounds Lucas The Great and Ruby Girl after the trainers of both greyhounds paid Mr Courts to do so. Mr Courts pleaded guilty, was found guilty, and fined $200.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Cowcher, the trainer of Ruby Girl regarding a verbal altercation with Mr B. Courts following this event and issued him with a warning.

Smart Mary was quick to begin and crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Akina Moss, Lektra Brandy, Inkling, Zemira Mikado and Atomic Icon.  Zemira Mikado checked off Inkling approaching the first turn checking Atomic Icon.  Zemira Mikado, Go Twenty Two and Akina Moss collided on the first turn severely checking Akina Moss causing Go Twenty Two to fall.  Inkling checked off Smart Mary on the second turn severely checking Lektra Brandy.  Atomic Icon and Inkling collided several times in the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Akina Moss and Inkling collided approaching the home turn checking Akina Moss.  

Go Twenty Two underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury and a spike wound to the left hind foot. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Spring – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at Meadows for fail to chase. Weighing 32.1kgs and beginning from box 3, Lektra Spring completed the 525mtrs trial distance in a time of 29.98. Lektra Spring placed 1st in a field of 4 winning by 20 lengths. Lektra Spring has been cleared to race at all tracks.
